About crisis center
Crisis center Gateway to Life was founded by Mária Prieložná in 2001 as one of first facilities of this kind in Slovakia. Gateway to Life currently provides asylum for victims of domestic violence and also helps mothers with children, pregnant or lonely women. Clients can use not only accommodation but also social and legal consultant services and psychological support. Many of these women have been through complicated partnerships or their own troubled childhood. Arriving to cr isis center is also arriving to safety for all these women. They can think about what to do with their lives in the future.
